Amazon's drone goes one step further

Amazon's drone delivery, the world's largest e-commerce company, is one step closer to becoming a reality. The drone delivery that the company plans to launch in the US is going to come true for a little bit. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has come a long way from congratulatory messages for Amazon and other companies seeking to launch commercial drone applications.

According to a Reuters report, the University of Alaska has completed the 'Beyond Line of Site' drone flight for the first time with the approval of the FAA. That is, when the drone is in the sky, the test has been run continuously without the presence of an observer.

For so long, the administration had a strict rule that as long as the drone flew into the sky, a person would have to observe it from the ground. Without it, no flight would be allowed automatically. As a result, Amazon and other companies could not turn auto drone aviation and delivery services into reality.

The drone has just been tested in Alaska by flying over an oil pipeline. However, Alexander Harmsen, chief executive of the Irish Automation Company, sees the authority as permitted, without the presence of a constant observer from the ground.

Prime Air started delivering products via Amazon Drone to some locations in Europe, but was not allowed in the United States for so long. But in June, Amazon showed a new design of the drone, saying it would deliver the product in 5 minutes, which is set to begin within a month. Although it has not started yet, the FAA has given a hint that the company will start very soon. Source: Mashable
